This 10 hour program is an advanced class designed to reinforce safety procedures and teach alternative options when deploying an M4/AR15 weapon system. This class is open to military, law enforcement and qualified civilian personnel. Open-air assaults and Active-shooter concepts for law enforcement will also be addressed.
Review of safety concepts
Alternative reloading methods
Advanced malfunction clearing techniques
Proper use of cover and concealment
One handed/weak side operations
Advanced moving and shooting techniques
Long range marksmanship
Active shooter considerations
Weapon retention/Entry considerations
Partner tactics for deployment/clearing
Gear, weapon and ammunition requirements
Quality semi-automatic assault rifle (should be an M-16 or close variant i.e.; M4, AR15, XM15 etc.) and a semi-automatic pistol BOTH having at least 3 magazines. Students should have at least 700 rounds of rifle ammunition and at least 250 rounds of handgun ammunition, quality Kydex (or similar) magazine holder(s), quality eye and ear protection, flashlight, BDU style pants, water bottle, and clothing appropriate to weather conditions.
Center-Mass Combat Tactics Carbine Operator I Course (or a basic assault rifle/carbine school put on by another reputable organization)
Duration: 1 Full Day (8 hours)
*This class will initially be limited to the first 10 students that send in their deposits. CMCT may expand this cap at a later time.
Note: For the safety of students and instructors, all students must demonstrate competency with firearms skills before advancing to additional courses offered by Center-Mass Combat Tactics. Proficiency levels will be determined by the Center-Mass Instructors.
As a metric for performance, all students should arrive to the course capable of shooting the F.A.S.T carbine drill clean in under 8 seconds.
Range: 10 yards
Target: 3×5 index card (head), 8″ paper plate (body)
Start position: in low ready and slung; shooter facing downrange, weapon loaded and on safe
Rounds fired: 6
Shooter loads gun with a total of two rounds. On start signal, fires two rounds at the head target; performs a combat reload; and fires four rounds at the body target.

Due to registration issues in the past, all students wishing to register will need to send full payment of class tuition at time of registration. One week prior to the class (September 17th), the call will be made if the class has enough participants to proceed. If the class does not have enough students registered, then all payments will be voided or returned.
