Introduction

This class is a basic program designed to teach safety and marksmanship fundamentals of commonly used tactical weapon systems. This course provides introductory instruction for the Semi-automatic pistol, Carbine, and Shotgun. This program is designed to prepare the student for additional courses such as the Basic Combat Pistol, Carbine Operator, and Combat Shotgun.
Topics covered in this program include:

 • Safety concepts
 • Nomenclature
 • Range operations and procedures
 • Tactical shooting fundamentals
 • Static shooting
 • Fundamental combat pistol skills
 • Fundamental carbine skills
 • Fundamental combat shotgun skills


Gear, weapon and ammunition requirements

Semi-automatic pistol, carbine, and shotgun are recommended but not required. Instructors do have weapons that can be used by the students. All students should bring quality ear and eye protection, long pants (BDU type is preferred) quality footwear, water bottle, 300 rounds of pistol ammunition, 300 rounds of .223 ammunition and 70 rounds of 12 gauge birdshot and/or buckshot.

Due to registration issues in the past, all students wishing to register will need to send full payment of class tuition at time of registration. One week prior to the class (July 30th), the call will be made if the class has enough participants to proceed. If the class does not have enough students registered, then all payments will be voided or returned.
